I hope to provide the perspective of an excited entomologist's journey to Kenya with Cornell's BioEE 265.

Fun Homework
Thanks to Stephanie's mom I'll have a great macro-lens for the Kenya class. Of course, I've never shot with a macro-lens before so I had to learn to use it. So homework for this weekend is practicing on local insects.
Convergent ladybugs....converging.
Scorpion face.
Crane Fly.
Damselfly.

I recently came accross your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I dont know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
I am an undergraduate entomology major at Cornell University, class of 2009 (now at the FLIES facility, Texas A&M). At Cornell I developed an intense interest in spiders, specifically tarantulas and their kin. My favorite classes have all been centered around the process of evolution and I enjoy thinking about life from unusual theoretical perspectives.
